Precious Objects
Some objects are priceless regardless of their material value. The things we attach meaning to serve as icons for memory and emotion, and allow us to preserve a time and place. My precious objects represent the connections I had to the land on a rural Island in Canada.
When I moved I carefully chose the most valuable things to accompany me, but because I couldn’t physically bring them I photographed them. I chose things from my daily existence that symbolize the life I had, and, like a pharaoh preparing for the time beyond I gathered them.
Triptychs are printed on watercolor paper with archival inks and available in editions of 25.
